Annapurna Half Circuit

The Annapurna circuit trek is an extraordinary trek, still one of the world’s best in terms of culture and environmental diversity. Even though the roads are being constructed, Annapurna Circuit trek provides you dramatic changes in landscape, culture and climate. We head north west following the Marshyandi river valley and come across thorung la pass of 5400 meter and descend steeply to the sacred shrine of Muktinath (The place where you could get Nirvana). We continue our descend and follow the sacred kaligandaki river all the way to Jomsom and take a short scenic flight back to pokhara.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to the Capital of Nepal “ KATHMANDU”. Upon Arrival our representative will welcome you and drive you to Hotel. Refresh and Relax


Day 2: Explore Kathmandu

"Kathmandu" which has exclusive blend of art, culture, history and religion. It bears varieties from pre-history to modern art, culture and custom. Today we explore some of it most popular UNESCO heritage sites.  Afternoon walk around the main tourist hub of Kathmandu and prepare for your trek.


Day 3: Kathmandu Drive to Chamje

Leave in the morning for a scenic drive to Chamje. It`s a black topped and bumpy road which takes us to Chamje. Upon arrival Rest and Relax.

Heights: Kathmandu 1350m, Chamje 1430m
Driving time: approx.8 hours
Thank you for arranging our trek from Besisahar to Jomsom. Everything went well though it was a hard trek. We are considering a new trek in couple of years. We recommend Highlander

Day 4: Chamje to Dharapani

After crossing over the bridge from chamje we head up hill walking following the trekking trail to Tal where you could enjoy a beautiful waterfall and we follow the road track up to Dharapani for overnight.

Heights: Dharapani 1860m
Trekking time: approx.5 hours

Day 5: Dharapani to Chame

We continue following the raod with view of Mt. Manaslu and after danaque we walk steep up hill through forest to Timang for about an hour from where we have nice view over mountain and follow the raod again to Thanchok which is a big gurung village and countinue our journey again with pine trees all the way to Chame which is a large village packed with small shops.

Trekking time: approx.5 hours

Day 6: Chame to Pisang

It's a beautiful walk from Chama to Pisang, through woods with some small ascents, and wonderful views of the peaks high above. It's a shorter trekking day, so you will have the afternoon in Pisang to explore the village, with it's Tibetan mani stones and gompa.

Trekking time: approx.5 hours

Day 7: Pisang to Nawal

After breakfast we head up hill to upper pisang where you could see nice monastery and super view of Mt. Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna, Lamjung himal and others. After here we continue our trek throw pipe forest and climb steep uphill for about an hour to gharu and level walk from here takes us to Nawal. Nawal is a big village with lots of mane wall. Nice view of mountain could be seen from here as well.

Heights: Nawal 3600m
Trekking time: approx.4- 5 hours

Day 8: Nawal to Manang

Your day start with downhill walk for about an hour and level walk through pine forest and pasture field which takes us to Braga where we meet the road again and follow the road all the way to manang where you see colorful chortens ,monastery, Tibetan style house, culture and landscape. Perfect Mountain View could be seen from here.

Trekking time: approx.4-5 hours

Day 9: Rest day

Today is an acclimatization day, to rest and let your body adjust. If you feel good you have many options for exploring -  a visit to the 'Hundred Ruppee Lama' at the cave gompa above Manang, a short hike to Milarepa's cave across the river from Braga, the HRA talk, or a tour of Manang's many bakeries.

Day 10: Manang- Yak kharka

Today is not a long day, but you do gain height, so no need to rush. There is stunning scenery to enjoy as you climb past Tengi and Gunsang to Yak Kharka.

Trekking time: approx.4 hours

Day 11: Yak Kharka- Thorong phedi

Today you have an easy two or three hours walk up to the lodge at Thorung Phedi where you will have lunch and stay overnight there getting to bed early for your early morning start the next day; the big pass day.

Trekking time: approx.3 hours

Day 12: Phedi- Thorong la pass and to Muktinath

Today you hit the trail early for about 5 hours walk to the top of the Thorung La at 5416m. From where you could see surrounding peaks as well as some part of Mustang. The descent is almost as demanding as the ascent to the top of the pass, with a steep rough trail down to Muktinath. Muktinath is an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists and Hindus, sacred for its auspicious combination of earth, fire and water.

Heights: Thorung La 5416m, Muktinath 3760m, Jomsom 2670m
Trekking time: approx.10-11 hours

Day 13: Muktinath- Jomsom

This morning you have an easy walk following the road down to the Kali Gandaki riverbed, which you follow down to Jomsom. The Kali Gandaki valley gets very windy in the afternoons so it's a good idea to keep moving on the trail and get into Jomsom in time for lunch if possible.

Trekking time: approx.6 hours

Day 14: Fly to Pokhara

In the early morning you have an amazing 25-minute flight down the Kali Gandaki River Valley to Pokhara


Day 15: In Pokhara

It’s time to explore this amazing city full of natural beauty. World peace stupa situated on top of hill overlooking Pokhara valley, incredible caves, serene lakes, Barahi temple situated on middle of fewa lake are some of the interesting site of Pokhara.


Day 16: Back to Kathmandu

Leaving Pokhara behind we head toward in the morning from Pokhara to the Kathmandu.


Day 17: Fly Back

Drive to airport and farewell.
