Bhairav Kund - means in Sanskrit a holy lake named after a destructive name of lord Shiva the "Bhairav". The place "Bhairav Kund" is located to the northeast of Kathmandu and right next to Panch Pokhari but closer to the Nepal-Tibetan border.

After breakfast we take a bus ride out of the Valley and up through the hills. After 5 hours bus ride we arrive at the trek starting point called Jalbire. Jalbire is a traditional small town full of "Newari" culture. We are going to spend the first night of our outdoor adventure right nearby the small "newari" town of Jalbire. Our Guide gives a short lesson of trekking on the first night.

During the rest of our 10 days trip, we observe the different ways of life, culture and will get in contact with the people in the small villages, passing through the dense forestations and meadows. The top of Bhairab Kunda offers an excellent view of rolwaling range, jugal himal range and some of the Tibetan mountains as well. On the last day of the trip we take a bus ride to Larche the starting point of our rafting tour.
