Tourism Ethics

Highlander is one of the pioneers in promoting ethical and responsible tourism in Nepal.

From the very start, we have promoted and followed the concept of sustainable, eco and responsible tourism. Our staffs receive salaries on a higher scale than average and are fully covered with medical insurance. Our team comprises of well-trained professionals, climbers, guide and porters who are not only experienced in carrying out expeditions and leading trekking and tour packages but are also well-trained on environmental issues.

We don’t leave behind any non-degradable garbage and we don’t use firewood for cooking so as to preserve the environment.

Nepal possesses a huge potential in the tourism sector and contributes tremendously to the overall national economy. To ensure sustainability of the sector and preserve it for the future generation, Highlander is committed to responsible tourism, supporting the local community as well as contributing to the overall economy.

And, not to forget, since visitors are regarded as Gods, we are always prepared to help our guests the best way possible and be informed on their needs and cater to their requirements.
